The UK C-17 International Training Centre (ITC) in Farnborough provides both aircrew and maintainer training to a wide range of international operators of the C-17 platform.
We have an exciting opportunity for a C-17 Maintenance Training Instructor role within a highly regarded team based at the C-17 International Training Centre in Farnborough.
Responsibilities:
- Development, delivery and evaluation of technical training to C-17 Technicians for a variety of International Customers.
- Conduct analysis to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design.
- Establish processes for identifying training content and evaluating training effectiveness. Use specialised software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials.
- Gather data to support complete proposal development activities.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of training products.
- Coach and develop others.
- Provide training services that meet the highest technical and quality standards.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met whilst adhering to company policies and processes.
- Embrace first-time quality as a way of life β not accepting, creating or passing on any defects and speaking up.
- Identify and correct conditions and behaviours that affect employee, public, and customer safety; upholding safety standards; demonstrating a proactive safety culture.

Essential
- Aircraft Maintenance experience.
- IT Proficiency, specifically Microsoft Office applications.
Highly desirable:
- C-17 Globemaster III aircraft maintenance experience.
- Previous experience as C-17 Maintenance Instructor.
- Instructional qualification to C&G Level 3 AET (or above).
- Mechanical trade background.
- The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas, cultures and functions.
- Experienced aircraft engineer.
- Skill and ability to: collect, organise and analyse data; summarise findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
Desirable:
- Previous instructional experience within military or civilian aircraft engineering training (DSAT or Part 147) environment.
- Management experience.
- Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as avionics, mechanical or systems.
