Construction Superintendent - Exterior Building Maintenance and Restoration - Base Salary to 90k/year - Newark, NJ

Our client is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team specializing in building restoration, with a strong focus on facade restoration and building envelope systems. In this role, the Construction Superintendent will lead and manage on-site operations for high-profile restoration projects, overseeing a dedicated team of workers to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex restoration projects that preserve the structural integrity and aesthetic beauty of buildings, while playing a key role in maintaining long-term building performance.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of workers, overseeing work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation for facade restoration and building envelope projects.
Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project-related expenses, specifically for building maintenance services and restoration work.
Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management professionals to establish budgets and timelines, ensuring the efficient restoration of building facades and envelopes.
Coordinate the timely delivery of materials and equipment with vendors and suppliers, prioritizing building envelope systems and facade materials.
Create and manage schedules for workers involved in facade restoration, waterproofing, and overall building maintenance.
Maintain a detailed daily log of job site operations, including updates on facade and building envelope work, and report progress to management as necessary.
Implement necessary changes in site operations to meet restoration and construction deadlines, optimizing facade and building envelope performance.
Apply cost-effective and efficient management techniques to enhance project outcomes, ensuring high-quality building restoration and maintenance services.
Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience construction management experience, preferably on restoration and building envelope projects
Candidate must have experience with suspended scaffolding
Candidate must have experience with concrete and building envelope projects to include water proofing, window cleaning, facade repair & restoration
Experienced with exterior commercial construction projects ranging from high-rise residential buildings, parking garages, stadiums, hospitality buildings, and healthcare buildings
Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and other construction CRM software)
Compensation:
Base salary in the 80k - 90k/year range
