Maintenance Technician 2

JOB SUMMARY:  

The Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems within the facility. This role ensures smooth operation of production lines, minimizes machine downtime, and maintains a safe working environment. The ideal candidate should have a company-focused mindset, understanding the importance of their role in the overall success of the organization and how it integrates with other teams.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Mechanical maintenance support a must
• Experience with electrical systems a plus
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment
• Strong attention to detail, including process and safety regulations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability and willingness to learn different systems and machines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, and stoop for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and checks on equipment, machinery, and systems
• Lubricate and adjust machinery as needed
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment failures
• Repair or replace faulty components to restore equipment functionality
• Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely manner, recognizing schedules may need to be adjusted depending on the situation
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
• Ensure that equipment and machinery are maintained in a safe and compliant condition and that all safeguards are in place and in working order
• Other duties as assigned by superiors
