PURPOSE:
To ensure that all warehousing and logistic activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner, and to a standard that exceeds our customers' requirements. Uphold the rigorous organizational structure within the warehouse, and ensure that all other parties maintain this system. Validate the receipt of incoming items, while evaluating each delivery for accuracy, quality, and hygiene components. Serve as a final quality inspector; to validate that outbound material is in compliance with quality and hygiene standards.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Logistics and Warehousing
- Receipt and inspection of all incoming materials.
- Storage of incoming goods and materials within the warehouse, according to organizational standards.
- Process and distribute documentation, including purchase orders.
- Report, document, and track damages and discrepancies of orders received.
- Load and unload trucks via lift trucks, pallet jacks, clamp attachments and stacking pallets.
- Processing items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Responsible for work safety.
- Assuring accurate verification of all counts, quantities, and descriptions of productions and materials shipped and received.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness.
- Maintain a safe working environment, and assure departmental compliance with safety policies.
- Store finished goods, raw materials, supplies, and spare parts.
- Optimize storage locations.
- Check packaging and labeling of finished goods.
- Store finished goods, raw materials, and auxiliary materials within the warehouse using powered industrial trucks with roll clamps, bale clamps, and riding pallet jack.
- Inventory control.
- Order picking and management of truck loading.
- Parcel counter and courier service.
- Receive mail and forward to administration.
- Checking freight bills for accuracy.
- Organization and punctual loading of customer orders.
- Powered industrial truck management, including organization, maintenance, and training.
- Assigning trucks and cargo to loading bays.
- Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the warehouse, loading docks, and shipping and receiving office.
- Serve as a contact person for forwarders and suppliers.
- Responsible for work safety.
Quality
- Manual inspection of incoming goods and incoming trailers to maintain quality requirements (damaged packaging material, visible damage to the trailer, noticeable smells, insects, moisture).
- Manual inspections of finished roll goods (packaging material, labeling, proper storage locations, etc.).
- Ensure that any out of specification findings are properly documented and given to the QA Specialist.
- Ensure that the QMS conforms to ISO 9001:2015.
- Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes.
- Report to Top Management on the performance of the QMS; on opportunities for improvement; on change requirements; on innovations.
- Ensure the promotion of customer focus.
- Ensure the integrity of the QMS is maintained.
