OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor provides hands-on leadership to a warehouse team. Β The Warehouse Supervisor's responsibilities include the complete, accurate control of and execution of all shipping and receiving daily activities in a highly customer-driven environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all inbound/outbound bookings and appointments are scheduled according to vendor and customer-specific guidelines, volume requirements, and available manpower.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High school diploma
- Current license for forklift and reach truck
- Post-secondary education in operations management or related field an asset
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification is an asset
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5 (five) years of warehouse and supervisory experience, preferably in the produce industry
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related to the food industry
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Proficient with MS Office, familiarity with ERP systems is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work within a high-paced and demanding work environment
- Positive attitude and ability to problem-solve
- Ability to have flexibility in working hours, including weekends

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all shipping and receiving procedures are followed by team members.
- Process bill of lading for each order while ensuring customer-specific procedures are being adhered to.
- Report returns and/or rejects back to the sales team.
- Monitor shipping and receiving lists to accurately ensure product shipments are being received.
- Monitor inventory and cycle counts.
- Manage product flow in both assembly and shipping areas.
- Monitor employee hours and performance.
- Schedule trucks, drivers, and third-party services while making any necessary changes to loads in real-time.
- Book appointments for customers based on shipping list
- Coordinate product adjustments
- Ensure proper housekeeping within the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Food Safety Act, employment regulations, and company policies.
- Perform all other duties, responsibilities, and functions as assigned by the Shipping & Receiving Manager.
